Wanna be a Rockstar ?

Apparently .. I do ?
I have a strange obsession with trying every single type of energy drink I can, maybe it’s just on the off chance maybe one will turn me into a super-hero. Probably it is down to me constantly wanting to try new things, I think my favourite energy drink so far has still got to be the 24 CTU Energy Drink just for the pure genious of it! Although the target is to try Mana energy potions . Again, marketing gone mad but it sucks me in like a bitch.
Finished Ghostbusters a matter of hours ago, and can hand on heart say that apart from one frustrating section, I thoroughly enjoyed it and it was worth every penny. I look forward to ranting about it when I put something nice together.
Also just ordered the Dungeon expansion for Talisman, looking forward to the extra characters and rules it adds!
Hell-Fever

Someone had a plan, and that plan was surely to inflict living beings with the ability to be brought to their knees by, of all things, plants.
According to the NHS :
Hayfever, also known as seasonal allergic rhinitis, is a very common condition that affects two in every 10 people in the UK. It is caused by an allergy to airborne substances such as grass or hay pollen, which affects the upper respiratory passages (nose, sinus, throat and eyes).
Seriously, its like having a fucking pineapple rammed into your nose and then feathers lightly sprinkled down your throat just to make the sensation that slight bit more interesting. Even more frustratingly it’s not actually an affliction that has hampered me my entire life. Thankfully I went through my entire childhood with no-sign of a sniffle, my brother was the only one in the family that actually had the issue.
I must have really done something awful when I hit my 20′s as it struck me and it struck me hard, especially recently. To sum it up I woke up at 4am this morning, my tongue felt like it was twice the size, I was snuffly and the top of my mouth was itching. Have you ever tried scratching the top of your mouth ? Not possible, IT JUST GETS WORSE.
On a brighter note, long weekend, I spent around seven hours playing Ghostbusters on the 360 and am thoroughly enjoying it, just noticed my friend Stu has also imported a copy so might hook him up for some c-op. Nearing the end but the storyline is more than worth it.
Also Bloodbowl came out, finally, everything I hoped it was gonna be. Not sure if the dice rolling is quite as random as it probably should be as it seems to come in spouts of good or bad luck, but the idea is there. Just waiting for some love from patches as they are apparently working on four new teams. The first two already confirmed as the Undead and Dark elves. The Undead I am looking forward to if only for seeing all the different looking zombies and skeletons.
Anyhow, back to work.
Home is where the work is…

At least that’s certainly what it feels like.
Another long long double week at work made only longer by the fact it’s been quiet. Its a harsh line, am I happy that it’s quiet and don’t have to work or would I rather it be excruciatingly busy so that the day just zooms by.
It’s by no means a bad job, just wish sometimes there was more to it ?
Anyhow, rant over, some awesome news was dropped by “Jessica” over on the bloodbowl forums last night letting us know that in face the game will be trickle released as of midnight on the 24th! Luckily this is Paris time so it’s in fact 11pm GMT and they will be releasing the game 500 or so per hour.
I can only hope I’m in the first hour or so as I would really like to get the download done by the time I get back from work on Thursday to start crunching some skulls as my Goblin team.
Just helped Becky set up her own Word press Blog, I think everyone should go check out what she has done so far over at www.lemonlightbeck.com she’s just starting so be gentle.
Wii-Van
by Ashitaka on Jun.19, 2009, under Blogging, Games, General
It’s amazing what you stumble upon from time to time…
Parking up this morning with Becky as we descended into town we came across what could only be a “Wii-Van”
I can only assume is motion controlled and is possibly driven with a wii-mote.
Notice the complete lack of a stearing wheel ?
I took some more photos for your viewing pleasure, although looking back i’m sure I looked like a bit of a weirdo taking photos of someones van in the middle of a car park but hey, I don’t think I can actually look that much more embarassing than I do anyway.

The front was lavishly decorated with the traditional Nintendo DS whoring and the back was covered in WiiFit. I can only assume the person who looks after this van must hate their job. It’s not as if we are talking about the Nintendo of old, this poor man, or woman, doesn’t have the joy of going from shop to shop and enthusiasticly talking about the next Zelda, or whats coming from Rare, or anything remotely interesting. They are more than likely given a script that makes them whore out the next big motion controlled waggle fest to hit the Wii that will sell millions to people who buy the game play it once then watch it collect dust and assume that now they have a console they are now gamers and fall into the “Casual” market of gamers.
The frustrating thing being is that the only real thing traditional Nintendo fans have to look forward to is the new Metroid game, and thats probably years away and I hate to say that I have a feeling Team Ninja may well bastardise the franchise, but thats to be seen I suppose.
Rant over I suppose, to say I am dissapointed with the Wii is an understatement. I have games, and I still intend to buy games, like Little King Story, but the whole experience is completely destroyed by the fact that to be honest, when I get home from work the LAST thing I want to do is waggle something that’s not going to give me some personal pleasure…
On other news, BloodBowl is out next friday, I can’t wait, ordering it shortly so I can do the early download on Monday and so I can get straight into the fray on Friday morning.
My copy of Ghostbusters has been delayed, but should hopefully have it by Tuesday/Wednesday time.
Also, Good Old Games have a special on Ghostmaster this week, 25% off is good price for a game I quite enjoyed, needs a follow up to be honest.

Not a great deal to say at the moment, im so knackered from work I have almost no inclination to do the work I actually enjoy!
So while im getting the will together to write something that could be remotely interesting and a bit less emo you can listen to this song, cause it’s ace!
Thats all folks!
